I see you typing, but all i see is blog blog blog.

January 6, 2013

I get home at 12:15AM and realize that I have finals tomorrow.

Unfortunately, i did not take away as much from blogging this semester as i hoped I would. If i was not busy enough during the Fall semester, the spring semester was even worse.

Do not get me wrong, I do enjoy the concept of the blog assignment, I generally enjoy the topics assigned as well, and who wouldn't want to read up on the happening of their fellow classmates weekly/monthly Drama?

Unfortunately between work and the massive amount of homework i had in my Communication classes, I just did not have the time or energy to put into the blogging process that I wanted to or assumed I would have.

I guess at the end of the day, i just need the credit, but if I were being asked my opinion, i would definitely keep the blogging portion of years 1 and 2. I feel like it encourages students to do further research on topics they may have had interest in but actually knew very little about, as well as encourages students to verbalize a (hopefully) more informed opinion about any topic, despite of their personally feelings about the topic.

While it is probably not something I will continue to do in my free time, mostly because i have to little free time, I do feel like i benefited from the process, even if only to have a place to vent my weekly frustrations about school and life.
